Edinburgh Rugby partner with Signature Pubs

Signature Pubs has announced an official partnership with Edinburgh Rugby for the 2017/18 season.

Owning 16 venues throughout Scotland, their flagship establishments; The Huxley, Kyloe, Badger & Co and The Queens Arms, are Edinburgh centric and firm favourites with locals and tourists alike.

Signature Pubs will use their expertise in running some of the city’s finest establishments to deliver a greater match night experience at Myreside, as they are set to host and operate the supporters’ bar at the ground. The enhanced experience will also see the supporters’ marquee refurnished, with Signature Pubs offering food and drink from their establishments at the home of the capital club.

Also as part of the sponsorship agreement, Signature Pubs will feature on the club’s playing shorts with ‘A Fine Rump’, a nod to their reputation for serving the finest steaks in Edinburgh at Kyloe Bar & Grill.

The season kicks off this Friday with Edinburgh playing Cardiff Blues (1st September, kick-off 7:35pm), on away turf. To celebrate the start of the season, The Huxley will be letting two Edinburgh Rugby players loose behind the bar, to engage with supporters and serve the masses throughout the game.

Director of Signature Pubs Ltd, Nic Wood, said: “As a national company, but with Edinburgh at our heart, this new partnership is valuable for all. We are proud to have the black and red army baring the Kyloe name, and encouraging our patrons to roar Edinburgh to victory in the unofficial clubhouses of our local venues.”

With Edinburgh Rugby’s home at Myreside, Signature Pubs will be hosting a supporters’ marquee offering a taste of their ‘signature’ food and drink to all.

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Jonny Petrie, said: “Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Jonny Petrie, said: “We’re extremely excited to partner with Signature Pubs as part of our plan to improve the overall matchday experience at Myreside.

“The fans asked us to deliver better food and drink provision at the ground, and this new partnership is a big step toward to achieving that.

“It’s great to be working with a great Edinburgh organisation, who operate some of the city’s finest bars and restaurants, and we look forward to working together over coming season and beyond.”
