Edinburgh Rugby has welcomed one of the world’s leading companies in the energy industry – Wood – to the club’s growing sponsor family.

A global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to the energy and industrial markets, Wood operates in more than 60 countries and employs around 55,000 people worldwide.

The Aberdeen-based company, which records revenues of over $10 billion, will feature on the right sleeve of the team’s new home and alternate playing kits, which are produced by technical sportswear manufacturer, Macron.

Wood Chief Executive, Robin Watson, said: “Edinburgh Rugby shares Wood’s commitment to performance excellence and a passion for continuous improvement. The team’s performance continues to go from strength-to-strength and we are delighted to play our small part in helping this beacon of Scottish sporting excellence continue to grow.

Edinburgh Managing Director, Jonny Petrie, said: “Wood is a name synonymous with the great success stories of Scottish business and industry, so we’re proud to welcome them to the club and carry their brand on our new playing kits as we compete across Europe in the Guinness PRO14 and Heineken Champions Cup.”
