Harlequins have announced the appointment of Chim Gale as the Club’s Academy Manager.

Chim joins Harlequins from Worcester Warriors where he oversaw the Academy operation from delivering the strategic vision through to appointing coaches and managing key stakeholders across the region in order to provide those talented players with the best chance of success.

On the appointment Billy Millard, Harlequins General Manager, commented: “We had a strong group of applicants for this role and Chim was the absolute stand-out candidate for us.

“His passion for player development and a holistic approach to this impressed the interview panel and, given his credentials and character, we feel we have the right person in place to develop the work we have delivered to date and supercharge our approach in this area.”

Chim added: “I am really excited to be joining Harlequins and working alongside a talented group of staff.

“I am also looking forward to meeting and engaging with rugby people within Surrey, Sussex and the boroughs in London which make up the Quins catchment area to help continue to develop home grown players for the senior team.”
