Castleford Tigers partner with MKM Building Supplies

Castleford Tigers have formed a new partnership with MKM Building Supplies for the 2020 season.

The firm is the UK’s largest independent builder’s merchant and has agreed a comprehensive advertising and matchday sponsorship and hospitality package to complement its branch in the town.

Located in Willowbridge Lane, the store was opened five years ago as part of an ongoing expansion of the business, which can now be found in over 60 locations across England and Scotland including MKM Leisure, a specialist distributor for the caravan and holiday homes industry.

Originally based in Hull, MKM Building Supplies has built a reputation as a one-stop shop for all building, timber and plumbing supplies, stocking a wide range of industry-leading manufacturers with excellent customer service to match.

Russell Safhill, MKM’s Castleford branch director, said: “As a club at the heart of our local community, we are delighted to be joining forces with Castleford Tigers for the upcoming 2020 Super League campaign.

“Since MKM Building Supplies opened its doors in Castleford back in 2014, we have seen first-hand the impact the club has on the town and its people, and promoting our brand through the Tigers will provide us with great local exposure.

“Nationally we are continuing to grow the MKM brand, and with Castleford Tigers being the most televised Super League team in 2019, we also look forward to the national exposure the company will receive on SKY TV throughout the 2020 season.”

Tigers’ commercial manager Craig Jeffels added: “I would like to welcome MKM Building Supplies Castleford to the Tigers sponsorship family for the 2020 season.

“Having met quite a lot of the team over the last few years in corporate hospitality on matchdays, it is fantastic news that they will become a fully-fledged partner of the club going forward.

“As a well-regarded and successful local and national business, MKM are a company we have wanted to work with for a while now, and we hope this is the start of a long term partnership.”
