Toronto Wolfpack partner with HowlBrands


Toronto Wolfpack and HowlBrands have announced an MOU with Pond Technologies Holdings Inc. wholly-owned subsidiary, Pond Naturals Inc. focused on their expertise related to clinically studied active ingredients aiding with recovery.

With the launch of the brand ‘Rugby Strength’, the Toronto Wolfpack became the first pro-sports team in the world to enter the CBD infused products marketplace. Now, Rugby Strength is looking to Naturals expertise as a provider of high-quality ingredients and a formulator of sports nutrition products, to co-develop and expand the product portfolio by using new active ingredients including Astaxanthin. Naturals is Canada’s only producer of Astaxanthin, a clinically studied algae extract known as ‘nature’s most powerful antioxidant’ that is shown to aid in cellular protection and sports recovery.

Under the terms of the partnership, Naturals has a 12-month exclusive right to develop products that combine the health benefits of CBD with the sports recovery attributes of Astaxanthin. These Astaxanthin-based products are to be marketed globally by HowlBrands under the ‘Rugby Strength’ brand, and all products containing Naturals ingredients will include the label ‘Powered by Pond’. These products are intended to expand the Rugby Strength product portfolio of modern solutions that are safe in improving physical discomfort and managing the amount of pain endured by professional athletes.

HowlBrands next product launch markets will include Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia where it has established media relationships in addition to its global network of rugby clubs.
