Filming rugby matches is nothing new and posting your team’s highlights on social media is a great way to gain exposure for your club.
In recent times, Sean at Fill Your Boots – Rugby kept seeing more and more clubs posting their best tries of the weekend and it came to him that there hasn’t been a YouTube show that can show them all off in one place. It had Sean thinking that perhaps it would be something he could add to the Fill Your Boots content family. He has always wanted to experiment with YouTube to help promote the great work that clubs are doing.
So, TryTime was born.
The idea of TryTime is to purely show the best grassroots Rugby tries from the weekend’s matches. Currently it is a bit rough round the edges, but as like most of Fill Your Boots, it is created on a shoestring and fairly quickly!

Episode two – https://youtu.be/_ZIx3fJfoN0
Episode three – https://youtu.be/p5pMVHMlbdk
Already at episode three, the series has had a great response so far and hopefully that can be built on as we head into the back end of the season. Fill Your Boots would like to encourage clubs to get their phone cameras out and film their tries in their games, send it in to them by the following Monday, so that episodes can be released on a Tuesday.
Three episodes in and we have already featured tries from 20 grassroots Rugby clubs and we want to feature more and more.
You can send clips to Fill Your Boots via email, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram messages with the name of the scorer and we will do the rest.
