The trustees of Thurrock RFC have signed the required documents for work to begin on the Orsett Heath Academy project on the Thurrock RFC site.
Work began on site BACK on Wednesday the 13th November 2019. Members and visitors should be aware there will be a works compound surrounding the site.
This is an exciting time for Thurrock RFC. Over the next few months they will see many changes on site and members and visitors should be aware that there will be some inconvenience. For example on some busy 1st XV match days and junior events, it may be required to park on the council pitches like they do for the annual Mini Festival.
The entire site project is due to be completed by September 2020 by which time the club will see all of the benefits and changes promised in the project brief.
Regular meetings between the project manager, contractor and representatives from Thurrock RFC will continue throughout the construction phase and the main committee will be briefed as to the progress of, and any issues with, the project as the club moves forward.
