The Warrington Wolves Foundation have teamed up with Super Bennie’s Food Emporium to show their gratitude to NHS staff at Warrington Hospital.

Each year first team players have visited the hospital with Christmas selection boxes and Easter Eggs. This year is different however and the focus has been put on the caring health workers who are currently putting their lives on the line to save patients suffering from coronavirus. 

To show our support club legend Bennie Westwood and The Foundation wanted to do something. Bennie’s new business venture since retiring at the end of the 2019 season as a true people’s champion is our focus on feeding the workers and what better way to give something back than to feed our NHS workforce. 

The players and coaches have all pitched in to support and Stantons of Cheshire have supplied the meat and Abbeys Farm the eggs. The following two Mondays at 1pm Bennie’s Sandwich Van will be parked at the Community Hub for the Hospital Trust where we will safely be distributing sandwiches to the staff.
