Richmond FC community team has donated more than 1,000 devices to over 50 local schools.
With schools returning this week and with students making their way back to the classroom, Richmond Rugby can confirm that our ‘tech for students’ project will formally draw to a close.
The initiative has been in operation since the start of lockdown in early January and we have received more than 1,000 donations of second-hand tech and delivered the refurbished devices to over 50 local schools throughout our borough.

Head of Community Dom Palacio said: “We have been amazed by the generosity of our community in working together to help bridge the digital divide and support local students with their education. We would like to thank our project partner Veritas Digital Services for their incredible support of this initiative. They have worked extremely hard to refurbish the devices as quickly as possible and will continue to do so over the coming weeks. Our thanks must also go to club partner Community Group for their backing and support, Councillor’s Ron Mushiso and Vickram Grewal for collecting tech throughout Chiswick, the RFU for making a large tech donation, and finally to our wonderful volunteers who have given up so much time to help deliver this project.”
