Wasps partner with The Wigley Group

Wasps have confirmed that Midlands-based company The Wigley Group has signed a long-term partnership deal with the Club.

Wigley Building & Development Ltd were recently appointed to build a new high-performance training centre for the rugby club in Henley-in-Arden.

The new agreement will see The Wigley Group’s logo feature on the kit of the men’s first team squad from next season and the company will use matches and other events for corporate entertainment.

Adam Benson, Chief Commercial Officer, said the new agreement was the latest in a string of major partnerships: “We have known The Wigley Group as clients for several years and that relationship stepped up a level when Wigley Building & Development Ltd were appointed on our high-performance centre which is now really taking shape at Henley.

“We have worked very well together, and this agreement opens up the possibility of further collaboration on future projects but, just as vitally, sees the company partnering with us through sponsorship and corporate entertainment.

“Our home will be the Coventry Building Society Arena from July and being able to form relationships with local companies of national repute really strengthens not only the business but also our role in the community.”

James Davies, Chief Executive Officer of The Wigley Group, said: “We’ve been working closely with Wasps through Wigley Building & Development Ltd on the development of the high-performance centre which is progressing really well.

“The contract has grown in scope during the last few months and together we are creating a state-of-art complex which really will be of the highest quality.

“It has been clear during the time working together that both companies share the same values and ethos and we were both keen to form a longer-term and more formal link.

“We would love to work further with Wasps Group in the future and we know that they have real ambitions both on and off the field, and hopefully this agreement will allow that to happen.

“We have used Wasps matches to entertain clients and contacts since the club first moved to the Ricoh and that is now on a more formal footing. It will be great to see our name and logo on the first team kit.”
